This is the guided beginner metta meditation that is the core practice of the first level of the Hope Mindful Compassion Program. The focus here is on developing a kinder attitude towards ourselves as self-hatred can easily drive us back to addiction or prevent us from creating the better life we deserve. This meditation is approximately 15 minutes long.
