Rehabs in Thailand
“What makes Hope different from other rehabs in Thailand”

Rehabs in Thailand
Rehabs in Thailand are a popular choice now, take a good look at Hope Rehab. We may be the right choice if you are looking for recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Below we have listed the main considerations most clients have.
Hope Finances & Cost
Hope is probably the best value of all rehabs in Thailand, particularly when it comes to quality help and treatment. Our motto should be “Hope over delivers and under charges” it is an all-inclusive program with no hidden costs. Only some spending money is required for refreshments and shopping when going offsite on outings. Hope has a fair refund policy. Go to our Costs page….
Hope’s Location
Hope is the most conveniently located of all rehabs in Thailand. We have two custom built facilities directly on the coast. The main facility is situated on a large 5-acre grand estate and surrounded by beautiful stone walls. Located on a mountainside overlooking the Gulf of Siam with sea views and surrounded by jungle and rain forest. We also have a vintage DC3 passenger airplane amongst our many interesting buildings.
Rehabs in Thailand
It is easy access to Thailand “the land of smiles” and welcoming to foreigners. You get a visa-on-arrival which can be extended locally. Because Thailand is so popular there are many low-cost direct flights to Bangkok. Hope is one hour away by car, you will be collected from the airport by our driver.

Thailand is famous for its beaches, islands, temples, markets, monkeys and medical tourism. It is all accessible when you come to Hope. Thai culture is friendly, fun and spiritual with a warm climate that helps soften physical struggles. The food is fresh and spicy. Traditional Thai massage and Thai boxing are also very much part of our program. The Thai culture accepts everyone for who they are regardless of sexuality, age and culture. “Everyone loves Thailand and Thailand loves everyone”
International Clients Base
Hope is an international center like most rehabs in Thailand, accepting English speaking clients from around the world. This means unlike other treatment services you will meet people from many different cultures. This is one of the benefits of choosing a rehab in Thailand. What is important is that all clients must be willing, motivated and respectful. That makes for a better experience for everybody. The admissions team will carry out a comprehensive telephone assessment that ensures suitability.
Great Accommodation at Hope
We have over 30 client rooms spread across two facilities. All rooms are ensuite aircon single occupancy (no sharing) with double fourposter beds. Every room has chest-of-draws, desks, sofa’s WIFI etc. The main building is reserved for detoxers. Hope is decorated with bespoke pieces of art specially commissioned for us. Hope has been designed to be homely and cosy unlike any other of the rehabs in Thailand.

The Hope Program
On one-hand we are an intensive structured program, and on the other-hand the program includes many healthy and relaxing activities with time in-between for yourselves. We also take clients out and about locally for sober coaching which is unique for primary treatment. The Hope method includes goal setting, CBT, Mindfulness, recovery-work, holistic therapies, personal therapists, comprehensive group program, gratitude-circle, early morning exercise, family feedback and much more. Most rehabs in Thailand describe themselves a “luxury rehabs” At Hope we have created a 5 star program which is the most important kind of luxury if you need our help.
Hope Workbooks
The Hope team has written and created a series of printed workbooks including the recovery program workbook, the mindfulness handbook, 90-day daily journal, Gratitude journal, aftercare manual, family guide and many others. Most of the rehabs in Thailand have ‘borrowed’ their programs from our workbooks. Take a look at our Library…
Sober-Coaching at Hope Rehab
Friday evenings we all go to the local exercise park and then the Japanese restaurant. Saturday lunchtime we go to ‘secret beach’ for a meeting and food. Sunday is beach day at our island just of the coast with temple visits and shopping. And many other trips out throughout the week. The benefits are practicing going out and having fun clean and sober. The Hope sober-coaching program is the only rehab in Thailand that offers these activities.
Hope’s Success Rate
We have the highest success rate of all rehabs in Thailand. By attending Hope you have a better chance at maintaining long-term recovery. Why? We think due to the intense program and high level of support together with a combination of extra activities we can offer being based in Thailand. Our retention and completion rates are high when compared to most facilities in the west. Most of our guests book the one-month option to begin with. However, the majority decide to stay longer. Clients tend to stay with us for longer than they initially planned, and this is a testament to the passion and commitment of our team.
After completion all clients have a graduation ceremony and receive a Hope coin and certificate. These ceremonies can be touching and powerful and give you the motivation to carry on. The longer you can commit to treatment the better you will feel when you move-on. Hope offers a 4-stage approach: primary, advanced-primary, sober-house and finally aftercare support.

The Hope Team
Hope has a large team of all rehabs in Thailand, with a ratio of 2 staff to each client. Most importantly all therapeutic staff are experienced and in recovery themselves. We also have a wonderful local domestic and housekeeping crew. In addition, Hope maintains a group of university interns throughout the year. These student interns enhance everyone’s experience at Hope by supporting both the team and the clients every step of they way. They are generally young and full of enthusiasm which rubs off on us all. See our Team page…
Atmosphere & Surroundings
The atmosphere at Hope is positive, safe, and supportive. We have created a spiritual vibe with meditation spaces, massage rooms, communal areas, dining terrace, gyms, and comfortable group rooms which clients appreciate. Hope has clear and healthy community boundaries that promotes a sense of personal responsibilities and accountability. We cultivate a community spirit; it is like an extended family and is designed to feel homely. Hope is best described a therapeutic community which is a place of learning, a gym, a health-service, a restaurant, a retreat, and we are also your new family and friends.

Food For Recovery at Hope
We take healthy eating very seriously at hope as it’s a key part of the program. Food is our body’s fuel; it effects our mood and should also taste great. Our food is a fusion of Western and Asian cuisine. Clients need to work hard to get the most out of their time with us, and a suitable diet gives them the energy to do what is needed. We are lucky to live in a part of the world where fresh nutritious ingredients are abundant. Our menu includes salad, veggies, barbeque meats, fish, and local dishes.
What is Recovery?
We use the term ‘recovery’ to identify that we now have a program that helps us maintain a healthy lifestyle. This means a healthy body, mind, and soul. We are recovering from past issues, addictions, and traumas that hurt us.
Detox at Hope
We ensure all clients are well looked after and get what meds they need to be comfortable and safe. All withdrawals are planned and agreed by our expert team and the client. Rehabs in Thailand benefit directly from the warm climate which helps with Detox and withdrawals. Client’s report feeling more comfortable and relaxed. This speeds up the process and improves sleep.
General-Healthcare in Thailand
All visitors to Thailand should buy basic travel/health insurance which is easy and cheap to purchase online. Thailand is generally a safe country to visit so long as you make sensible choices. Clients are responsible for their general healthcare and doctor visits. We use our local private hospital 5 minutes away from Hope.
Fit for Recovery
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle always includes fitness activities of one type or another. Motivation and discipline to meet the challenges of life is enhanced with daily exercise. We encourage clients to get up early and participate in one of our activities, we say “get up before your addiction does” To get the most out of life its best to be as fit and healthy as possible. Rehabs in Thailand can offer much more fitness activities than western centers.
Hope Yoga Retreat
Yoga has the power to heal. The benefits to our physical health are well known ranging from increased flexibility, muscle strengths, improved pain management, detoxification, digestion and much more. Due to addiction, we become disconnected from our body, mind and the world. The purpose of Yoga, Tai Chi & Pilates at Hope Rehab is to help you get back in touch with the amazing gift of life. Yoga is a wonderful practice for people in recovery because it has physical, mental and spiritual benefits.

Muay Thai Boxing Camp at Hope
We have our own Muay Thai trainer, Yuth, who has many professional fights under his belt and won many Championships. He trains and coaches our clients in one-on-one sessions 6 afternoons a week. Your personal training program takes into account your current condition, and you will be amazed at how quickly your body can adapt to this type of training. There are many hidden benefits with Muay Thai Boxing such as confidence, mental clarity, reduced stress and anxiety, sense of fulfillment, coordination, balance, reflexes, general health and much more. None of the rehabs in Thailand can offer this challenge.
CBT – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy is the most popular form of therapy these days, we say “Short term therapy for long term results” Our thought process is all important when trying to change our lives. Put simply our thoughts, feelings and behavior are all interconnected so using CBT we identify negative thoughts and change them for positive ones. Old thoughts for new thoughts, old beliefs for new beliefs. We do this using affirmations and repetition techniques.

Traditional Thai Massage at Hope
At Hope we have 4 qualified massage therapists and two massage rooms. Thai massage is a unique form of healing therapy. This method of healing is not just about relaxation, it is also used for treating illnesses and maintains health and well-being for the Thai people. Many clients at Hope find that Thai massage has the following benefits: You are usually asked to wear comfortable clothing for the massage. A typical Thai massage session is 60 minutes long. It “is a deep tissue approach restructuring and aligning muscles, tendons and bones, and by stimulating pathways in the nervous system.
Hope Relapse Prevention Program
This helps identify your personal triggers: people, places, and things. This is anything that activates a craving or a using thought. Triggers are sometimes referred to as urges or cues. Urges can be common in early recovery so do not regard them as a sign of failure. So relapse awareness work is a fundamental part of treatment in-order to ensure you maintain your gains and your new life.
Hope Aftercare Program
The most powerful aftercare program is directed and managed by YOU! Basically, continuing the healthy daily routines started at Hope. Attending independent recovery groups online or in person. So, remember to exchange contact details with your counsellor and join our private online aftercare support groups on social media. Every Sunday Hope runs aftercare zoom meetings.

It’s torture to realize you are messing up your life when you don’t feel able to do anything about it. Some things are just too enormous to face alone. If you have been struggling to quit, might it not be time to consider seeking help?
Never again!
“I will stop tomorrow. Just one more time”
This is what we say to ourself and others even though we know deep down how empty these words can be. Every time we fail to keep such promises it damages our confidence. It leads to a state of hopelessness. We need to understand that the problem isn’t our weakness but that we may be facing something that is too big for us. We can all struggle to make major changes in our life, and this is why the successful ones usually succeed with the support of others.
One of the things that makes quitting so hard is that we are surrounded by triggers. This is why it can be so important to enter an environment that facilitates our transformation. Here we can be supported and have access to the resources we need to achieve lasting change.
Old habits die hard
This is why we benefit from participating in a program where we can create new healthy habits. If we want a brand-new chapter in our life, we not only need to let go of the bad stuff, we also need to start doing the good stuff.
The thing that makes the struggle so painful is that deep down there is a realization that things could be better. We know we are operating way below our potential. We know there is a better life somewhere out there for us. We know we deserve better and so do the people we care about.
